3rd Group Mobility with Pupils in Oulu, Finland – A Journey of Inclusion, Innovation and European Collaboration

Within the framework of our Erasmus+ KA122 project “A(I) European School for All”, our school proudly participated in the 3rd Group Mobility hosted in Oulu from 19 to 24 April 2026. This mobility brought together students and teachers in a dynamic learning experience focused on inclusion, collaboration, creativity, and the meaningful use of AI in education.

The week began with a warm welcome and introduction, setting the tone for a collaborative and engaging programme. Through icebreaking activities and informal discussions with host teachers, participants quickly formed strong bonds and shared their expectations for the days ahead.

On Monday, the focus shifted to intercultural exchange and project development. Team-building activities and presentations on the project journey helped participants reflect on their shared progress so far. A guided school tour offered valuable insights into the Finnish education system, while collaborative team activities encouraged communication, creativity, and mutual understanding. The day concluded with students documenting their first impressions through blog entries.

A highlight of the mobility was Tuesday’s educational visit to Rovaniemi. Participants explored the Arctic environment and engaged in sustainability-focused activities, gaining a deeper appreciation of environmental responsibility and outdoor learning. The experience also provided valuable material—photos, videos, and ideas—for the creation of the project’s final outputs, including the AI Quiz game and the Best Practices Guide.

Wednesday was dedicated to inclusion in practice. Participants had the opportunity to attend inclusive lessons, observe different teaching approaches, and take part in a “Learning for All” workshop. Group discussions allowed for reflection and exchange of ideas, while the mingling with local people and volunteers working for inclusive associations supported the development of collaborative and differentiated learning skills. The day concluded with a unique cultural experience at the Theatre Group OHO in Pohjankartano Hall and an informal language exchange activity, strengthening intercultural communication in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.

On Thursday, creativity and innovation took center stage. Participants worked collaboratively to design and develop their AI Quiz Game using Genially, creating interactive questions and puzzles. This hands-on process enhanced their digital competences, problem-solving skills, and teamwork. The final presentations and reflection session highlighted the impressive outcomes of their work, followed by the Best Practices Guide, the evaluation and closing ceremony, marking the successful completion of the mobility.

The mobility concluded on Friday with the participants’ departure back to Greece, leaving behind not only a week of intensive learning but also unforgettable memories and strong European friendships.
